Seb rang me the other week with the news that he’d gotten six Arcade Fire tickets, and one had my name on it, if I wanted it. Did I want it? Did I bloody ever.
I last saw Arcade Fire play in 2005 and it remains the best gig I’ve ever seen. But you know what it’s like, until you have the tickets right there, there in your hand you’re not completely convinced you’re going anywhere. But here they are, sat right there on my desk. Woo hoo!
I feel like running down Brushfield Street with an ‘I Love Canada’ t-shirt on, a stereo strapped to my back playing Intervention at full blast, shrieking at the top of my voice in true Win Butler style ‘…working for the church while your family dies…’ Ah, the Arcade Fire.
Here’s a new-ish Neon Bible link link. Enjoy.
